About Proact Technik
What we do.
We work with businesses that have outgrown the tools they started on. Usually that means less technology, not more.
We build websites and host them. We help customers find you, whether they Google it or ask ChatGPT. We get your systems talking to each other, and we take the repetitive jobs off your team.
Every job starts with a free conversation and a project plan & outline before any work begins. You own everything we build, and if you don't need what you came in for, we'll tell you.
- A clean, fast website tailored to what your business needs it to do.
- Reliable hosting, set up and managed for you.
- Findable in search from the start, and built to grow into more later.
More than just a website
Four other ways we help.
If more than one of these sounds familiar, that’s normal. You don’t need to figure out which one you need before getting in touch. Tell us what’s going on and we’ll work it out with you.
You’ll recognise this if
Quotes on-site, bookings by phone, and a website nobody updates.
A site that brings in calls.
We write the pages with you, build the site, and set up the hosting and domain behind it. Enquiries land in your inbox instead of vanishing into a form nobody checks. After that we keep it patched, backed up and running.
You’ll recognise this if
Prices out of date already, and a Google listing that disagrees.
Found where customers look.
First we look at what a search for your business turns up today. Then we fix the listings that disagree with each other, write the pages that answer what people type, and set your details up so Google and AI assistants get them right.
You’ll recognise this if
Work in one tool, invoices in another, nothing talking.
Systems that agree with each other.
We find where the same thing gets typed twice, then connect the tools you already pay for so it only gets typed once. Quoting, invoicing and client records stop disagreeing. Usually that leaves you with fewer tools, not another dashboard.
You’ll recognise this if
Twenty people running on one spreadsheet and one person’s memory.
The repetitive work, off your plate.
We follow one job through, find the steps that don’t need a person, and hand them to software. The Monday report, the numbers copied between systems, the reminder someone has to remember. Your team keeps the judgement.
Whichever one it is, the rule is the same: the smallest thing that fixes it, and an honest no when you don’t need us.
Where it breaks down
Managing tools instead of your business.
Here's what "managing tools" means in practice: nine systems, and you're the only thing connecting them.
Press a node
You know your business. You shouldn’t have to know how to wire it together too.
How it goes
Three steps, no pressure.
Tell us what's not working. We'll talk it through together and map out a plan.
- 01 Tell us the problem. A few quick questions, in your words. Five minutes, and nothing locks you in. A few questions about what's slow, what keeps breaking, or what you're paying for without noticing. Just describe your day, nothing technical needed. Nothing gets decided here, it just gives us something real to talk about.
- 02 Free consultation. We talk it through and bring a tailored take on how we'd approach it. We go over what you told us, ask about anything we're still unsure of, and talk through how we'd handle it: what we'd change, what we'd leave alone, and roughly what it takes. It's a conversation, not a pitch. Bring anyone else who should be there, and tell us if something doesn't match how things actually work.
- 03 A simple plan. If it's a fit, you get the simplest path to the outcome. If it isn't, we'll say so. If we're the right fit, you get a plan written down: what we'd do, in what order, and what it costs. If we're not, we'll say so and point you somewhere better. Either way, you walk away with something you could act on, with or without us.
Bottom line
The simplest thing that works.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to get started?
Not much at first. A conversation about what's going on is enough to begin. Later we'll need access to whatever we're actually working on, but you don't need a spec, a budget worked out in advance, or a tidy version of the problem.
What if my need isn't listed?
Ask anyway. The four areas on this page are what we're asked for most, not the limit of what we take on. If it's genuinely not something we should be doing, we'll say so and point you somewhere better where we can.
Already have a website?
No, and it's often the cheaper place to start. Plenty of sites need work rather than replacing. If yours is one of them, we'll tell you that instead of quoting you for a rebuild you don't need.
Do you work with what we have?
That's usually the whole job. Most businesses already have the software they need and the pieces just don't talk to each other. We work with what you have wherever we can, and we'll be straight with you about the times something really does need replacing.
Not sure what systems we have?
That's normal, and it's usually step one anyway. We'll map out what's actually running before we touch anything, so you end up with a clearer picture even if nothing else changes yet.
What if I only need one thing?
Then that's what we'll quote. There's no minimum and small jobs are welcome. If the one thing is all you need, we're not going to try to sell you a bigger project on top of it.
